Put Somebody Through School
Give to the Scholarship Foundation
The Foundation runs on the giving of members. There is no endowment, no government subvention and no external funder underwriting it. Every naira that reaches a student came from someone in this fellowship who decided that a stranger's education was worth their money.
Give by Direct Bank Transfer
Please include “Scholarship” and your name in the transfer narration, so the SAC can credit it correctly.
Ways to Give
A One-off Gift
Any amount, at any time. Give what is on your mind today and the Foundation puts it to work in the next award cycle.
A Monthly Pledge
A standing monthly amount. Pledges are what allow the SAC to plan a cycle with confidence, because a committee can only promise what it knows is coming.
Sponsor a Beneficiary
Commit to covering a full award for one student for an academic year. Sponsors are kept informed of the impact of their giving; the beneficiary's identity and circumstances remain confidential unless they give written consent otherwise.
Give in Honour or in Memory
Where the Money Goes
- Donations are held in trust by the account signatories and used exclusively for the logistics of the selection process and for disbursement to beneficiaries.
- Awards are paid directly into the personal accounts of successful candidates.
- The Chairman and Secretary of the SAC are notified within twenty-four hours of any donation made for the scholarship, where they are not signatories.
- A biannual financial report on the scheme is submitted to the Executive Committee, and an annual report of SAC activities is presented to it.
Donor Recognition
Donors who wish to be acknowledged are recognised on this page and at the Homecoming. Donors who prefer to give anonymously are never named. You choose when you give.
